Hidden Secrets to Language Success DVD by BHI
Wanda's new DVD gives you a visual aid demonstrating the secrets to language success as taught in Spell to Write and Read. In this 2-disc DVD set you will witness Wanda interacting with children of various age as well as parents and educators. Each disc contains approximately 2 hours of instruction. Special new publication price for a limited time.

Wanda writes: "The first volume was taken in a home setting with children of multiple ages and ability levels. The second volume was taken in one of my actual seminars. These unrehearsed teaching sessions gives glimpses of the dynamic with SWR. Come be my student as you watch me teach others....In the DVD I include issues that teachers find especially bothersome like addressing the Y in words like 'baby.' I touch on numerous reference pages and all 12 of the extra attention 'think to spell' situations. Both volumes focus on the four key 'hidden secrets' that give SWR its strong history of success. I call these scientific aids 'hidden secrets' because they are neglected or totally unknown by most educators."

This SWR DVD features Endorsed SWR Trainer, Britta McColl, teaching her own children in her home with SWR. This is a fast-paced, intimate look at SWR, giving you the confidence and ability to get started teaching SWR to your children.

Chapter markers make it easy to review the activities over and over again, and the up-close filming enables you to see what the children and the teacher are writing. It focuses on:
* How to teach SWR with multiple ages,
* Beginning handwriting skills,
* Games to teach the phonograms,
* How to do a phonogram quiz,
* The dictation process for both single syllable words, and multisyllable words using "fingergrams" or "finger spelling."

Check out Britta's Blog where she discusses the two SWR Training Videos, how they compare, and why you might want both.

Phonogram CD by Gary & Wanda Sanseri
Listen and repeat the phonograms after Gary Sanseri. Practice "reading" them. Take a sample quiz (answer key included). Designed to work with BHI phonogram cards. Even as a Speech Therapist, I needed to listen to this helpful tool as I began the program to be sure I was learning the sounds of the phonograms correctly!

Reviews of the SWR DVDs
We have four DVDs to help customers understand and use SWR better. But which one is best for you? Two of our SWR users have offered their reviews about the DVDs and the differences between them.

Sarah Oden, one of our SWR Yahoo Group members writes about the differences between two of the DVDs...

You Can Do It!: I LOVE this one! Britta is so sweet and natural in her presentation. I especially like all the ways her young children are involved, since I have many young ones. You see snips of different sessions with her and the children, again, very natural and an "at home" feel.
A Blueprint For Success: I just got this one, and I'm glad I did. My husband connected with this one best (not surprising since Mr. Munger is narrating). I appreciated his step-by-step approach to walking through the first 12 steps of the program. His interviews with several SWR families gives insight into how others utilize the program and make it work for themselves. Little things, such as how they set up their materials or where they do their instruction, are visible as you get to "peek in" on these families.
Is there one I would recommend over all? Not really. I think each one presents a special aspect of the program. As one who learns best by "seeing," these videos have been a tremendous help to me. Best of all is the SWR Yahoo Group! So supportive and encouraging! Thanks to all of you! Sarah in VA

Beth in SW WA writes about our newest DVD, Hidden Secrets: "I bought the new DVD last weekend in Portland at the homeschool conference. It is amazing! Buy it if you can. It has over 4 hours of Wanda's wonderful, thorough teaching. I will watch it over and over again. Well worth the price!"
